WHAT KIND OF BEDDING DOES MY HAMSTER NEED?

Buy good quality shredded paper bedding or very soft dried grass. Avoid coloured bedding or fluffy bedding particularly if it is made with nylon. Some hamsters have died from blockage when they ate fluffy bedding. Occasionally a hamster is allergic to red dye and loses its hair because of red bedding. So shredded paper bedding is the safest option. If your pet shop doesn¹t sell it, go to a better pet shop that does, or order it specially.
