HOW CAN I KEEP MY GUINEA PIGS SAFE FROM PREDATORS?

Guinea pigs make a nice meal for foxes, badgers, cats and visiting dogs. Chicken wire is not strong enough to keep out foxes and badgers. They can pull it off. You need to add twilweld or chain link, with wire that is two and a half milimetres in diameter over the chicken wire. Keep the chicken wire in place because guinea pigs can squeeze out of chain link on its own. Foxes can lift latches so use a bolt not a latch. If your run is static, you should run the Twilweld into the earth to a depth of about 8 inches at an outward angle to stop them digging under it. House guinea pigs should never be left unsupervised with cats or dogs. Even a friendly cat or do may pounce if the guinea pig runs past and arouses the chase instinct in them.
